GREENVILLE, N.C. -

Greenville’s City Council will meet on Thursday.

Councilwoman Marion Blackburn says they'll honor a dog that made headlines earlier this year.

Greenville's "Peanut" won the distinction of being the “Ugliest Dog In The World.” He won the competition earlier this year.

Peanut and his owner Holly Chandler will be on hand to accept the recognition.

"Peanut", a dog here in the East, wins the World's Ugliest Dog Contest.
