A new reward is being offered by the family of a victim who was killed in a hit-and-run accident last year near the Pocahontas area. Forty-nine-year-old Maury Michelle Cole-Flint was found by a hunter on Highway 49 in the early morning hours of December 21st.
Flint was discovered lying in the median near the Cock of The Walk Restaurant. At the time of the accident the vehicle involved did not stay on scene and there were no apparent witnesses.
According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, Maury was walking on the side of the highway when either a pickup truck or SUV struck her from behind.
A reward from Crime Stoppers up to $2,500 could be paid for information leading to an arrest. Now, the family is offering a separate reward of $24,000 for the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.
Anyone with information that could help solve this case can call Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS (8477) or 1-866-481-8477.
