"This event is so important to us of course Dan Aykroyd is coming and he is going to buy the first car so this event is to help us raise money to buy 4 additional cars that we can put uniformed officers in so that everybody in hinds county can feel safe," said Jessie Thompson of the Hinds County Sheriff's Department.
The benefit called, "We're on a Mission," will feature the Bluz Boyz and Dan Aykroyd. This is a News Channel 12 "Caring for Mississippi" event.
It will be held at the Old Capitol Inn on Thursday, June 5. The event starts at 7:30 p.m. Will tickets beginning at 150 dollars per person or 250 for a couple and you can still purchase tickets at the door.
