Caring For Mississippi: Actor Dan Aykroyd Buys New Patrol Car for Hinds County

JACKSON, Miss. - He's a "Ghost Buster" and a "Blues Brother." But did you know that actor Dan Aykroyd is also Hinds County Reserve Deputy? He is helping out in a Caring for Mississippi event.
The actor has purchased a new patrol car for the Hinds County Sheriff's Department, and he's not done. Aykroyd is also leading efforts to raise enough money to buy a total of five new patrol cars to be used by Hinds County 70 plus reserve officers.
Tonight, you are invited to a benefit called "We're On A Mission." It will feature the will feature the Bluz Boys and Dan Aykroyd. It will be held at the Old Capitol Inn Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will be $150 per person or $250 for a couple and you can still purchase tickets at the door. The goal is to raise $120,000.
