Salvation Army to participate in Giving Tuesday.
JACKSON, Miss. - The Salvation Army is in need of donations after the April tornadoes that ravaged parts of state and the South.
After the severe weather that hit some areas in Mississippi and surrounding states, the organization says they need to stock back up on supplies in order to prepare for the upcoming hurricane season.
When the widespread outbreak of tornadoes hit in April, The Salvation Army deployed mobile feeding units aiding in thousands of meals, comfort kits, and clean up kits.
With the hurricane season officially starting June 1, they want to be prepared just in case citizens need their help.
Donation centers are always welcoming donations non-perishable food items and clothes.
