BLENDON TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Police say an 18-year-old driver fled the scene after crashing into a home Saturday morning.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, deputies and officers from Blendon Township police responded to a report of a vehicle that had crashed into a building in the 5400 block of Buenos Aires Blvd. just after 6 a.m. Saturday.

Authorities tell NBC4 that the 18-year-old driver crashed into the home and then fled on foot.

The teen driver was quickly apprehended by Blendon Township officers. A medic was called for the driver after he complained of injuries.

Police say the driver was transported to the hospital for treatment as well as a blood alcohol content testing.

At least one passenger was picked up by a guardian at the scene.

Homeowners say an occupant who normally sleeps in the front bedroom was not at home at the time of the crash.

No one in the home was injured.
