PEARL, Miss. - One man is in custody after Pearl Police say they discovered marijuana being harvested at a home on Walnut Grove Drive.

Stephen Kennedy is facing charges of manufacturing of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

John Windham of Pearl PD said officers executed a search warrant a Kennedy's home. Search revealed that Kennedy was growing marijuana in his workshop behind his home.

Authorities say it was clear that he was trying to conceal the harvesting area within the workshop because it was kept inside another room behind a door that had a ten code digital keyless lock.

This investigation began by the Pearl Police Department receiving information from Richland Police Department/MBN-HIDTA Group.

Currently, the suspect was given no bond for the charges he is facing.
