2 Adams County Inmates Sentenced for May 2012 Prison Riot

Three people indicted after deadly prison riot in Natchez
ADAMS COUNTY, Miss. - Two inmates accused of being involved in a May 2012 riot in a federal prison in Adams County were sentenced Friday.
Thirty seven-year-old Margarito Munoz-Astello and 29-year-old Raybel Granillo, were sentenced in court by Senior U.S. District Judge David Bramalette. Munoz-Astello sentence is 84 months, and Granillo's sentence is 57 months.
Both inmates were also ordered to pay more than $1.3 million in restitution.
Another inmate, 37-year-old Ian Reid also appeared in federal court to enter a guilty plea to rioting in a federal prison. He will be sentenced in September. He faces a maximum penalty of ten years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Patrick Lemon.
