JACKSON, MS - "How To Train Your Dragon" blew away audiences in 2010, and this weekend, the long-awaited sequel roars into theaters. But can Dreamworks repeat the success of the first, or does the movie go down in a blaze of glory? Sorry, that's the last of the fire-breathing metaphors we could think of... To answer that question, we sent Bret and Joe to Tinsel Town in Pearl, MS to see whether the animated film is worth the price of admission.
BRET - See it! Not only is this worth the price of admission, it's worth the price of popcorn and Junior Mints as well. Dreamworks outdid themselves with this film--it's written in such a way that adults and children alike will enjoy themselves and greatly improves upon the first film. However, the movie does deal with some darker issue--such as death--so make sure the kiddos are comfortable with these themes.
JOE - I agree. See it. This movie is one of the best animated films I've seen this year, and has the rare status of being equal to or better than the original.
Catch Bret and Joe Friday nights on WJTV News Channel 12 at 10pm or find them on Facebook at "If You Haven't Already Seen It".
