The body of a missing teen has been recovered and authorities are still searching for another person in Claiborne County.

Authorities say the two went missing in Bayou Pierre creek Saturday evening.

Authorities tell us the teen they found is 16-year-old Mary Jones. She was found in the creek just after 9:00 a.m. Sunday morning.

Authorities are still searching for 32-year-old Douglas Wilson.

Janie Shorter says Wilson was her only son and was always helping others, "Even if it cost him his life, he's going to do it."

Multiple agencies are assisting the Claiborne County Sheriff's Office in the search.

"Department of Fish and Wildlife, we got the Claiborne County Fire Department, Claiborne County Emergency Management, my department, we also have Vicksburg rescue team down here," explains Sheriff Marvin Lucas, Claiborne County.

Sheriff Lucas says the creek's conditions weren't normal when the two went missing, “The water is high at this present time. The area they drowned in, usually no water is in that area."

Wilson’s family says he is a Navy veteran and is a great swimmer.

They remained hopeful Sunday afternoon that he was somewhere still alive.

The Claiborne County coroner says an autopsy has been scheduled for Jones.

Authorities say the teen's sister also fell in the creek but was rescued.
