Suspect In Custody for Jackson Gas Station Murder

JACKSON, Miss. - The suspect police say is connected to a gas station shooting that left one man dead on Monday is now in custody.

23-year-old James Mangum turned himself in to authorities on Tuesday. Police say Mangum and the victim, 35-year-old Dexter Myles, had a verbal exchange along with others before he was shot.

The suspect fired several rounds at the Fuel Time gas station on Terry Road.

Myles was found dead at the scene.
