JACKSON, Miss. - Just two days after the Republican Primary Runoff Election, staff members of the Chris McDaniel Campaign are reviewing Hinds County voter books at the courthouse.
A Cochran staff member is also there as the opposing side goes through the books.
Longtime U.S. Senator Thad Cochran defeated the state senator in the runoff.
McDaniel questioned some of the election results from the runoff race.
"Dozens of irregularities were reported all over the state," he said in his speech on Tuesday night, referring to Democrats who voted in the Republican primary.
He told the crowd at his watch party that he wanted to make sure that the Republican primary was decided by Republicans.
According to the Secretary of State's office, if you were eligible to vote in the Primary Election, you were eligible to vote in the Primary Election Runoff. However, if you voted in the Republican Primary Election, you must vote in the Republican Primary Election Runoff. If you voted in the Democratic Primary Election, you must vote in the Democratic Primary Runoff. However, if you did not vote in the Primary Election, but were eligible, you could have voted in either party primary.
