KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A number of events are planned around East Tennessee to celebrate Independence Day this year, including the annual Festival on the Fourth at World's Fair Park in Knoxville.
The free annual event begins at 4 p.m. Friday and ends at approximately 10 p.m. at the conclusion of the fireworks. The event is rain or shine.
Festival goers will be treated to music, food and fun on the Festival and Performance Lawns at World's Fair Park. The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra will perform a free concert at 8 p.m. The fireworks are scheduled to begin at 9:35 p.m.
Free parking will be available at the World’s Fair and Blackstock parking lots and the 11th Street, Locust Street, State Street and Market Square garages. ADA parking is available at the Fort Kid Parking Lot.
