Movie on Officer Bryan Lawrence's life being filmed in Roanoke

Posted: Updated:
ROANOKE (WSLS) - Roanoke City Police Officer Bryan Lawrence went to work one day six years ago and never left the same, after being attacked.

WSLS has reported on his recovery, but soon his story will hit the silver screen. He says intense physical therapy and the grace of God lead him to walk without help a year and a half after being attacked.

That story is the plot for the upcoming movie called "Kicked by Grace," based on his life.

“I used to tell people have you asked God why do you let this happen to you, I said I never have.  I just feel that this is where he wants me,” Lawrence explained.
