2-year-old Romerion Rhodes
JACKSON, Miss. — A man accused in the 2011 slaying of a toddler accepted a plea deal Tuesday instead of going to trial.
Christopher Bradley plead guilty to depraved heart murder and was sentenced to 40 years, with 20 years suspended.
Bradley is accused of killing 2-year-old Romerion Rhodes and injuring his father Robert McGee in a shooting.
Romerion and his father were inside a car in a driveway when a vehicle drove up and sprayed their car with bullets. The child's father was hit by the gunfire as well and was left paralyzed from the incident.
