Cameron Smith is a Weatherford, Texas native. He earned his Master of Arts in Journalism at the University of Mississippi. Prior to Ole Miss, he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration at East Texas Baptist University specializing in advertising and promotion.
While attending ETBU, he played on the golf team and was a part of the inaugural team. He also took graphic design and e-commerce courses where he learned the ins and outs of visual storytelling.
At Ole Miss, Cameron was involved in an array of activities. He served as a marketing and communications graduate assistant in the school of applied sciences for a year and a half. Outside of classes, he was also involved with the SEC Network crew operating cameras in-venue and had the opportunity to be the associate producer for one semester. He was also involved with NewsWatch Ole Miss for one semester as a sports reporter.
