Gracie Dencausse joined Storm Team 12 in April of 2022 as the weekend morning meteorologist and weekday noon meteorologist for WJTV 12 News.
She graduated from Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in Geosciences and a concentration in Broadcast Meteorology. During her time at MSU, Gracie was an executive member of the Foundation Ambassadors, member of the East MS Chapter of the NWA and AMS, Panhellenic Greek Counselor, and a member of Phi Mu. While completing her final year at Mississippi State, she worked as a weekend meteorologist for a station in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
As a Baton Rouge, LA native, active weather is something Gracie is accustomed to. She knew that a career in broadcast meteorology would be the perfect way to combine her interest in weather and passion to serve others. When not forecasting the weather, you could find her spending time with family and friends, running or shopping. She also enjoys cheering on the MSU bulldogs and LSU tigers all year long!
