Jade Bulecza is the 4 p.m. anchor at WJTV 12.
She comes to us from WTXL ABC-27 in Tallahassee, Florida where she anchored the noon and five p.m. newscasts. Jade worked in Tallahassee for six years. She also told investigative stories and hosted a weekly art segment called COCA Connection. She has received a number of awards throughout her career including an Associated Press best features award for a story on controversy surrounding confederate monuments in the state of Georgia. She also won an AP award for an investigative story on hospital camera upgrades at a rural hospital after a woman’s death. She stayed up on top of the Kendrick Johnson story, the teenager found dead in a rolled up gym mat, bringing continuous coverage. Many of Jade’s stories have gained national attention.
She will also never forget the time she spent following law enforcement officers on their journey from Portsmouth, Virginia to Washington, D.C. to honor the fallen at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial. Prior to WTXL, Jade worked for WALB-TV as a multi-media journalist covering seven counties. Jade broke a number of stories on almost a daily basis, from wildfires to a wild hog running through a Georgia neighborhood.
