Jake’s passion for weather began at a young age, when Hurricane Katrina devastated his hometown of Slidell, LA.
Jake graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Geosciences and a concentration in Broadcast Meteorology. During his senior year at Mississippi State, Jake had the opportunity to kick off his TV career as a weekend meteorologist for WTOK-TV in Meridian, MS. After graduating, he went on to work at WBRZ-TV in Baton Rouge, LA, where he covered two back-to-back historic hurricane seasons. Louisiana was directly impacted by seven named storms while he was there.
In his spare time, Jake likes to travel, exercise and hang out outdoors. Jake is excited to be back in Mississippi and looks forward to helping the community plan their day each morning!
