Leah Williams joined the WJTV 12 News team in May of 2021 as a Multi-Media Journalist.
Leah was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She is a proud graduate of Southern University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. During her time at Southern, Leah was an editor for the student newspaper, the Southern Digest. She was also an intern at Louisiana Public Broadcasting and a sports intern at WAFB.
After graduation, Leah started her career in journalism as morning producer at KRQE in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She worked there for nearly two years before coming to WJTV 12 News.
As a Louisiana native, Leah is excited to be back in the South, and is looking forward to exploring Mississippi. In her free time, she likes to shop, eat seafood, watch Netflix and spend time with family and friends.
