Marie Mennefield joined WJTV 12 News in January 2022. She is a native of Jackson, Mississippi, and graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism. She minored in Citizenship and Social Justice.
Marie served as a producer for her university’s radio station WWHR Revolution 91.7 and newscast News Channel 12. Before reporting for WJTV 12 News, Marie worked as a strategic media planner.
Marie shares a special bond with her twin sister and enjoys spending time with her family. Marie is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She lives by the mantra; everyone gets the experience, some get the lesson by T.S. Eliot.
