Morgan Gill joined the WJTV 12 News team in October 2022. She was born and raised in Jackson and is a 2022 graduate of Alcorn State University. Her degree is in Mass Communications with a concentration in Broadcast Journalism. She graduated with cum laude.
While at Alcorn State, Morgan held the title of Miss Mass Communications. She had her own segment on her school’s online newspaper, “The Campus Chronicle.” She was also a radio host for WPRL 91.7 FM. Gill worked as a Production Assistant for Arkansas PBS while they were filming the second season of “Rise and Shine,” and she was featured on two episodes of the show.
This is Morgan Gill’s first time working in a newsroom, and she is excited to be a reporter in her hometown. Outside of the newsroom, you could find her creating content, traveling, or watching YouTube.
Morgan’s favorite quote is, “Sometimes you have to toot your own horn to hear the band play.”
