Richard Lake joined the WJTV 12 News team in May of 2022. He was born in San Antonio, Texas, and is a 2022 graduate of Mississippi State University with a degree in Print and Digital Journalism.
While at Mississippi State, Richard worked for MSNBC and Mississippi Today. He was also a member of Lambda Chi Alpha.
Covering politics and keeping voters informed are two of Richard’s greatest passions. When not at the Capitol, you could find him spending time out on a run, listening to music or struggling to learn how to play guitar.
