In August of 2020, after spending 2 years at WDVM in Hagerstown, Maryland, Thao Ta joined WJTV as a reporter.
Prior, to this, Thao earned her degree in Literary Journalism at UCI before going on to gain broadcast experience as a production assistant at KABC-TV in Los Angeles.
As an LA native, Mississippi has been a welcome, exciting change from the norm. She’s loved her time here so far and is eagerly looking forward to exploring the state, community and culture. In her free time, you’ll find Thao reading anything Rupi Kaur or doing yoga.
