JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Police have arrested a man in connection with a gas station burglary.

Officer Colendula Green of Jackson Police 46-year-old William Hughes is accused of breaking into the Shell gas station at 5492 Watkins Drive.

She said the suspect through a rock through the front glass and went inside; he’s accused of leaving out the back door.

Hughes along with two others he was with, were pulled over in the parking lot of New Hope Church on Watkins Drive, Green said.

All three of them were taken in for questioning, but Hughes was the only one charged, police said.

The burglary was caught on surveillance cameras. Police recovered cigarettes.
