2 women arrested after shots fired, employee hit by vehicle at Fayette gas station

FAYETTE, Miss. (WJTV) – Jefferson County authorities arrested two women after a shooting at the Shell gas station on Main Street Tuesday morning.

According to investigators, two women had been hit with a car at the gas station. An employee, Wanda Ellis, was severely injured and airlifted to a Jackson hospital for treatment. Authorities said she was hit by a car driven by Gaber’elle Parker.

Investigators said Parker was attempting to run over Cendera Fells. Another woman, Narwetta Flowers, was also hit by the vehicle.

Witnesses told police an altercation had taken place in the parking lot of the gas station between Parker and Fells. Parker and Fells have been arrested and charged by the Fayette Police Department. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is assisting in this investigation.

Parker has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault with use of a deadly weapon (vehicle) and one count of attempted aggravated assault with use of deadly weapon (vehicle).

Fells has been charged with shooting into an occupied motor vehicle.
