MADISON, Miss. (WJTV) — Three Home Depot employees in Madison have been arrested for embezzlement.

Bond is set at $250,000 for 30-year-old Leunta Friar, 69-year-old Everette Pennock,and 57-year-old Mark Patchin.

Police said on Sept. 4, that the loss prevention and fraud department of Home Depot contacted them about an internal investigation that they were conducting.

The store officials believed that fraudulent customer sales orders were created by several employees. They said that others who were not employed by the store would accept the merchandise and leave the store. Some of those stolen items would be returned for cash, police said.

Investigators determined that the alleged embezzlement had been occurring since approximately February 2014. They said about $133,000 in merchandise and cash were taken.

This is an on-going investigation with further charges and arrests expected, police said
