Another Raymond Detention Center escapee captured

JACKSON, MS – Two down and two more to go. The second of four escaped inmates is back behind bars. Kevin Holmes was picked up on Sykes Road.

Holmes was spotted at this baseball field dug out at Leavell Woods Park. It all went down before noon today as US Marshals and the Hinds County Sheriff’s Department caught up with the 18-year-old. We’re told Holmes tried to run, but didn’t get far.

He was one of the four who escaped from the Raymond Detention Center early Monday morning, and it’s not the first time he’s managed to get past guards.

In April, Holmes broke out of the downtown Jackson jail. Sheriff Tyrone Lewis says he believes the four had help from the inside and outside to carry out their escape.

This investigation is far from being over. We have a lot of work to do as far as interviewing people. We’re not there yet but possibly there could be. Police arrested Jermaine Wilson, a capital murder suspect who also escaped from the Raymond Detention Center, yesterday in Jackson.

Now the search continues for John Rollins and Montreal Anderson. If you have any information call the hinds county sheriff’s department or 9-1-1.
