JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant is extending his order to have flags flown at half-staff until sunset Tuesday.
Bryant signed the executive order October 1 after the shooting rampage where nine people were killed at Umpqua Community College in Rosenburg, Oregon.
The order is for all U.S. and state flags that are on all public grounds in Mississippi.
The original order said flags must be flown at half-staff until Monday, October 5 at sunset.Read the extended order here.
