CLINTON, Miss. (WJTV) – Continental Tire celebrated its grand opening in Clinton Wednesday morning.
Governor Phil Bryant joined executives from the tire plant to present the new billion dollar facility.

They’re going to be able to buy a home, maybe a good automobile. A safe automobile. They’ll be able to sent their children to college. This is a game changer.”
The $1.45 billion facility could expand. Continental employs about 250 people now. They hope to have 2,500 people working at the plant by 2028.
Clinton Mayor Phil Fisher said the plant will help put the city on the world stage. “We’re becoming a bigger city and a better city because we not only are growing here economically, but with a worldwide reputation.”
