JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) — A teen was brutally murdered about 30 years ago and since then the case has gone cold.
Now, a new strategy may help find the person or people responsible.
Shondra May’s gravestone is missing a death date as her family continues to search for answers about her last days on earth.
Shondra was abducted while she was on her way home from work one night. Her car was found abandoned about 50 yards from her front door.
David Childers with the Mississippi Paranormal Research Institute, took his group and met up with Shondra May’s family and friends Sunday and retraced where she went before she was found dead on February 26th, 1986.
“In time you learn to deal with things but yeah you still miss her. you never get over that, if you’ve ever lost one you don’t ever forget,” Tim May, Shondra’s brother.
“We start from the beginning and work all the way to the end. there’s no telling what we’re gonna get especially with the psychics and medians what they pick up on. it’s a long process definitely a long process. we’re just relying on them to see what they come up with,” said Childers.
Shondra’s brother said it would mean a lot to get closure in this case. Childers said he was contacted by someone who asked him to look into the case. He said he couldn’t help but get his team out and try to find some answers.
