JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) — Nissan North America issued a $84,000 grant to Habitat for Humanity Mississippi Capital Area.
The automaker is kicking off its second decade of partnership with Habitat for Humanity. To celebrate, they are giving a $1 million donation to the organization. $84,000 of that money go to Habitat for Humanity Mississippi.
“Nissan is a leader not only in the automotive industry but also a leader in community citizenship across North America,” said Merrill McKewen, executive director of HFHMCA. “This recent announcement is the latest in a long and generous history of their partnership with Habitat for Humanity, including with our affiliate here in the Jackson, MS, area. Nissan North America and its employees demonstrate the highest ideals of philanthropy and volunteerism, with employees putting their hearts into action as they work alongside a partner family, helping them build their new homes.
