Hinds County leaders to give update on COVID-19 response

HINDS COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – The Hinds County Board of Supervisors announced the extension of the state of emergency in the county due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The state of emergency has been extended for non-essential employees until May 1st.

Leaders also announced that the Hinds County Tax Collector’s Office will be open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of next week from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

For neighbors who have expired or new tags, the penalty has been waived.
