Jackson firefighters respond to house fire

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The Jackson Fire Department responded to a house fire on the corner of Autumn Hill Court and Autumn Hill Drive.

The fire happened Tuesday afternoon. Officials said the fire caused the roof to cave in.

Division Fire Chief Cleotha Sanders says a firefighter was injured and taken to the hospital. He’s expected to be okay. No one else was hurt. A firefighter rescued a dog. The house belongs to realtor Ronnie Nowell.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
