Jackson mayor: COVID-19 restrictions to be lifted “in short order”

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson Mayor Chokwe A. Lumumba said COVID-19 restrictions in Jackson could be rolled back soon, but the mask mandate will stay in place.

The mayor said there’s improvement in COVID-19 case numbers and vaccinations in the city. He said the city could lift capacity restrictions “in short order.”
