JACKSON, Miss – Jackson Police are investigating the shooting death of a three year old boy at an apartment complex.
Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham Stewart tells us, three year old Darius Coleman shot himself in the face Friday evening.
Officials tell us the shooting happened around 9:00 at the Willow Point Apartments on Glencross Drive. Police say the child got a hold of the gun and shot himself.
Authorities tell us this is an death pending investigation and an autopsy is being done to determine if criminal charges should be filed.
