Jackson police officer arrested for exploitation of a minor

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Attorney Lisa Ross announced a judge entered a no-contact order prohibiting Jackson Police Officer Mark Coleman from contacting a minor and her family.

Coleman was arrested for exploitation of a minor and placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation.

According to Ross, Coleman is being investigated by multiple agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He was released from custody on Saturday, May 9, on a $50,000 bond.


JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – According to Officer Sam Brown, a Jackson Police Department patrolman was arrested for exploitation of a minor.

The patrolman, who has not been identified, was placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation.

Brown said all the evidence in the investigation will be turned over to the Hinds County District Attorney’s Office.
