2 MHP troopers injured in mutli-vehicle crash

COPIAH COUNTY, Miss.(WJTV) – Multiple people are recovering, including two Mississippi Highway Patrol troopers, after a crash Sunday evening. 

Kervin Stewart with MHP explained during a drivers license checkpoint, five vehicles where involved in a crash on Highway 28 and Bob Road around 5:30.

A Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado, Chrysler 300, Toytota Sequoia and a MHP Dodge charger were all involved. 

The driver of the F-150 was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

One trooper was transported to the hospital with a leg injury and the second trooper went to Copiah medical for his injuries. 

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
