Local News

On this day 20 years ago – the Senate voted to acquit President Bill Clinton of perjury, obstruction and abusing his presidential power in an effort to conceal a sexual relationship with Monica Lewinsky.

Clinton was the second U.S. President to be impeached – the first was Andrew Johnson in 1868.

In an interview with NBC last year, Clinton was asked if he owes Lewinsky a personal apology and he responded, “No, I do not.”
