$25k grant to help build park and revitalize area near church

The City of Jackson and Rosemont Human Services is putting a 25 thousand dollar grant for beautification to good use.

The grant will be completely used to buy materials fora new park and other nearby property around Lake Elementary School and Rosemont MB Church.

Canadian National Railway awarded the grant to the city.

“We want to put a pavilion here but not only that we want to make it look good. they can have a walking trail they can exercise while they are waiting for their children. we see them standing on the side of   waiting for their children and we thought maybe it would be a blessing if we could do something.”

The grant will also help pay for fruit trees and gardens.
