A 50-year-old man is hospitalized in Jackson after being shot at apartments on Northside Drive.
A press release from JPD on Saturday reads: “Jackson Police are investigating a shooting after a male was transported [to a hospital] by private vehicle. It happened just before 12 p.m. this afternoon.”
The unidentified man is now suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body.
Officers were told that the victim was “at an apartment complex when two black males attempted to rob him,” the press release adds.
The man remains hospitalized and is listed in critical condition.
No suspects have yet been identified.
When asked which apartments the shooting happened, Jackson Police Sgt Roderick Holmes said he’s “not certain what apartment complex, since the original call came from the hospital.”
