Recent testimony in court says a Biloxi toddler, who “accidentally hanged himself” between a couch and wall, also had cigarette burns on his little feet, as well as bite wounds and bruises to his body.

One-year-old Rowan Cannette was found dead earlier this month and his dad, Thomas Cannette and Thomas’ girlfriend, Cassandra Lopresto, are charged with his abuse, according to a report from The Sun Herald of Biloxi.

Two other three-year-old children in the Rowan home were found to have ingested methamphetamine.

They also had cigarette burns and untreated infections, according to the county attorney, Herman Cox.

On Friday, the judge sent the case to a grand jury.
