JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are investigating after a body was found at a Dollar General location.

The body was found at the Dollar General on Raymond Road on Monday, May 22. Officer Sam Brown said the man had been shot.

Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham-Stewart identified the victim as 62-year-old David Plaisance.

Police learned that another victim, who fled the scene, was located and taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in critical condition.

According to Brown, two unidentified men are responsible for the shooting.
