A new, first of its kind procedure means less expense and a quicker recovery for knee replacement patients
Capital Ortho’s surgery center is the first freestanding surgical facility in the state of Mississippi to successfully perform a partial knee replacement utilizing robotic technology.
The Center recently announced the new robotic equipment which is called, NAVIO.
Dr. Micheal Dulske says this new surgical system helps with precise and accurate partial knee replacement surgeries.
The robot is good for partial knee replacements and uses a CT-free intra-operative registration, planning and navigation platform to assist the surgeon in building patient-specific surgical plans.
With no pre-operative CT-scan required, patients can now skip the extra pre-operative steps and can receive the benefits of robotic assistance.
