A Mississippi man is caught and charged with attempted murder, for the drive-by shooting of the Noxubee County Sheriff’s son.
Terrance Fiffer allegedly shot Roman Mattox on Friday.
The sheriff, Terry Grassaree, says his son Mattox suffered a gunshot to the chest.
Mattox survived and his condition is stabilizing, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, according to WTVA-TV.
Fiffer is awaiting court in Clay County jail.
Macon Police Chief Davine Beck says he expects to arrest more suspects in the case and investigators are working to get the name of the person who allegedly was with Fiffer at the time.
Another unnamed person is charged with being an accessory to the attempt on Mattox’s life.
