Leaders in technology are in Jackson this week focused on making the city a tech hub.
WJTV 12 is launching a new segment called  Focused on the Future.

Technology is always changing and places like Mississippi Coding Academies look to keep up with the latest advances and at the same time bring the best and brightest to the state.

Jay Finkley left the entertainment industry in Nashville to head back to Jackson. Once he’s finished with the academy he wants to work at a marketing agency.

Tuesday featured many engaging speakers including the company Lobaki and the state of virtual reality.
Jade Bulecza put on the headgear and went swimming with a whale.  

The keynote speaker Candy Chang told a crowd about her “Before I Die” artwork on walls that are now all over the world for people to share their hopes  in public.
The president of Innovate Mississippi is enjoying the set up of the event.

Day one didn’t disappoint at the first ever Tech Jxn.

Tuesday’s event doesn’t stop here. The Jackson Indie Music Fest is from 6-9 p.m.
 It’s also at the convention complex.  Tech Jxn returns Wednesdsay at 10 a.m.
