JACKSON, Miss.(WJTV) – On Saturday the public experienced what it was like to go beyond the hive.
The Beekeeper Association shared with folks at the Mississippi Agriculture & Forestry Museum what it’s like to work with bees and how they help the environment.
Jenny Crawshaw, with the association, says she hopes to inspire others to appreciate the yellow insect.
“Having these sorts of events brings awareness, and a lot of people want to do for the environment and this is one way that they can.”
More than 100 people attended the beekeeping seminar to see what the buzz was all about.
