A chunk of East County Line Road is now much cleaner. Thanks to the Callaway High School football team and the Hinds County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Victor Mason, an alumnus of Callaway, helped bring the team together to pick up dozens of bags worth of trash in their community.
Their goal was to teach the kids the importance of community values and working as a team as well as building team bonding for next season.
Overall the team spent two hours along the road finding everything from plastic cups, to glass bottles and even a pair of trousers.
