JSU drops $11,000 out-of-state fees to $500, to increase student enrollment

Jackson State University is reducing its fees for out of state students, to just $500 per semester, from more than $11,000.

The reduction starts in the Fall.

One student says she’s glad the school is making tuition more affordable and those that have had to drop out because they ould not afford it, may know return to finish their degree.

School officials say they hope the reduced fee will encourage more enrollment in the college.
