Man shot on Robinson Street in Jackson

The Jackson Police Department is investigating after a man was shot during a robbery early Thursday morning.

The shooting happened outside the Robinson Food Mart on Robinson Street around 3:30 a.m.

According to Sgt. Roderick Holmes, the 32-year-old victim was shot in the arm by a man in dark clothing, wearing a ski mask. The suspect took the victim’s belongings and shot him. Police believe the suspect is in a gray car.

The victim is recovering from a non life-threatening injury at a local hospital.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS(8477). If your anonymous tip leads to an arrest, you could get a $2,500 reward.
